File / document upload plugin

Thursday, May 28th, 2009

Today we have finished the file / document upload plugin!
In collaboration with the nice people at box.net (thanks to their excellent API) we can bring more power to Grubba.

With the plugin you can upload any document and attach them to your records.  Attach contracts to clients (e.g. docs or .pdf), pictures to your collection or whatever your imagination can think of.

This feature is in beta beta, so please take a moment to send us bugs and or feedback.

What we’ve been up to?

Monday, May 25th, 2009

As you might know, Grubba is still in Beta. That means we are constantly developing, working on improvements and new features.

But: we don’t want to offer too many features, it has to be kept simple. We don’t want thousands of options, that will only confuse users. And most users only use 5% of the potential of software anyway…

What are we working on right now?

1. The biggest thing is file-upload and management. Within a few weeks you will be able to attach files (docs, images etc) to your records.  For this feature we are working together with box.net.

2. Soon we will offer the possibility to insert a demo form with all fields in action. That might make it easier to overview all sorts of fields.

3. Another big improvement will be the website-plugin. With this you can show your data in your own webpages.

4. The rest will be small fixes and more webservices, like zipcode lookup, ISBN lookup etc.

Anyway, we’ll keep you informed!

Our blog is online

Monday, May 25th, 2009

Since we started a few months ago, things have been busy. We already communicated with you – the end user – trough e-mail and our little news-app.  But we often have the urge to tell you a bit more about new features and how to use them.

So here it is:  the grubba blog. All news, new features and bugfixes will be posted here. To keep you informed.

We strongly believe in ‘user generated content’. Based on your feedback we try to improve Grubba to fit your needs.
Please let us know what you think of things by sending us feedback by e-mail or posting comments in this blog.

Greetings,
Team Grubba
