Load balancing

Friday, June 19th, 2009

Today we started working on spreading the load on our databases.  We are growing quite a bit harder then anticipated (hurray for that!) so we had to do something to at least maintain the current database speed.

New users will benefit the most from this update, but we’re also working on getting the same results for our current users…

As always: If you encounter strange results, please let us know!

Help: how to print my records?

Friday, June 5th, 2009

We get a lot of questions on how to print your records.  Grubba has a few methods, we’ll discuss these in this small post.

You need to decide what you want to print:

1. one record:

Print a factsheet:  view one record and click this icon: pdf_factsheet
A factsheet is a .pdf overview of all info / data within one record.

2. multiple selected records
Search (search) your listings to get a selection you want.
a.  export as .csv and print from a texteditor or MS excel or OpenOffice.  Click :  export
b.  export .pdf list (all data within all records is shown). Click :  pdf_list
c.  export .pdf labels (print selected data on labels) . Click : pdf_labels
For this option you first have to set a few preferences, goto –> tools –> preferences.

3. all records
Browse (browse)  your listings to show all records.
a.  export as .csv and print from a texteditor or MS excel or OpenOffice.  Click :  export
b.  export .pdf list (all data within all records is shown). Click :  pdf_list
c.  export .pdf labels (print selected data on labels) . Click : pdf_labels
For this option you first have to set a few preferences, goto –> tools –> preferences.
